Visiting scientists at the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTMNERR) are exploring the secret life of two species of lizards in an attempt to understand more about their Lilliputian worlds. Two anole species, the invasive brown anole (Anolis sagrei) originally native to Cuba and the Bahamas, and the native green anole (Anolis carolinensis) are still somewhat mysterious in their habits, such as their preference to live in male dominant harem groups.
