Javier Lluch estudió en la Universitat de València , donde se doctoró en 1985. Ha desarrollado desde entonces líneas de investigación en herpetología, nematología y parasitología. Es miembro de varias sociedades científicas, socio fundador de la Asociación Herpetológica Española, a cuya Junta Directiva pertenece actualmente, y ha sido también editor de la ‘Revista Española de Herpetología’ (hoy Basic & Applied Herpetology) en el periodo 2002-2010. The majestic leatherback turtle is the largest sea turtle in the world, growing to more than 6 feet in length. It is also one of the most threatened. A major new study of migration patterns has identified high-use areas — potential danger zones–in the Pacific Ocean for this critically endangered species.
