En la primavera de 2010 hicimos un seguimiento de la víbora Echis coloratus en la estación de anillamiento del International Birding and Research Center of Eilat, situada en el desierto del Neguev, al sur de Israel. Resumimos aquí los datos obtenidos sobre selección de hábitat, alimentación, patrón horario y fenología. También capturamos una docena de ejemplares para extraerles el veneno y utilizarlo para sintetizar suero antiofídico en los laboratorios de una empresa farmacéutica de Jerusalén. Leer más.
