DNA barcode reference libraries are now continuously produced for the tree of life, which are essential pillars for the study of biological diversity. Yet, our knowledge about global diversity is largely limited in undersampled regions such as the largest warm desert, the Sahara-Sahel. Leer más.

Sobre l’esforç que fa la societat eivissenca per lluitar contra les espècies invasores que estan posant en greu risc la pervivència de la sargantana, Podarcis pityusensis, als llocs on fins fa pocs anys tenia poblacions molt denses.

aSDMs identified strong associations between calling behaviour and local environmental conditions and showed robust and consistent predictive performance using two alternative models (regression and boundary). Furthermore, these models better captured climatic variation than correlative models as they use observations at higher temporal resolution. Leer más.
The ecological models indicated that most species differ in their climate niches, but show overlap, with gradual transitions at range boundaries. As expected, the ecological divergence among subspecies was lower than that among species. Leer más.
This study summarizes the temporal variation, the relative contribution of each university, the research topics addressed, the taxonomic groups studied and the differences in author and its advisors’ gender in the 303 PhD theses on herpetology defended in Spain and gathered in Teseo© and Dialnet© between 1977 and 2020.
