Este proyecto que comenzará el 1 de septiembre tomará el relevo de los esfuerzos que Gesplan y el Cabildo Insular de Gran Canaria estaban realizando hasta ahora para paliar esta invasión. “Help Stop the Massacre of Baby Sea Turtles” states the announcement of an emergency protest planned by activists who are trying to protect sea turtles from being drawn inland to their deaths by artificial lights. By instinct the turtles crawl toward the brightest light, which until the past 100 years or so was the reflection of moonlight on the ocean but today draws many of them toward the hotels, condos and restaurants along the beach.
