A new species of Tropidophis is described from the dry forest of the Barahona Peninsula, southwestern Dominican Republic, on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. Berriki publikatu digute 2021ean aurkitu genuen Schreiber musker (Lacerta schreiberi) baten nota zientifikoa. Azalean zerbait arraroa zuela ikusita, narrasti eta anfibioetan espezializatutako Albert Martínez Silvestre albaitariarekin jarri ginen harremanetan eta hark eman zigun gaixotasunaren inguruko diagnostiko zehatza. Labur esanda, lesioen koadroak gaixotasun fungiko baten ondorioz sortutako dermatitisa zela erakusten zuen.

Recientemente nos han publicado la nota científica de un lagarto verdinegro (Lacerta schreiberi) que encontramos en 2021. Al ver que tenía algo raro en la piel, nos pusimos en contacto con Albert Martínez Silvestre, veterinario especializado en reptiles y anfibios, y nos proporcionó un detallado diagnóstico de la enfermedad.
