Rattlesnake Springs: An oasis in Southeast New Mexico’s dusty desert

The isolated unit of the Carlsbad Caverns National Park known as Rattlesnake Springs Picnic Day Use Area located 26 miles southwest of Carlsbad is a tree-shaded riparian oasis in the Chihuahuan Desert.
