Sandy’s surge disturbed baby sea turtle boom

Sandy’s late-season arrival meant most of the tiny hatchlings emerged well before the storm hit. All of South Carolina’s nests had hatched, said DuBose Griffin, sea turtle program coordinator for the state’s Department of Natural Resources.
