Texas Blind Snake – Leptotyphlops dulcis

The Texas Blind Snake is a very small non-venomous snake often mistaken for a worm when found.  They range 4-6 inches long!  Blind snakes feed on ant and termite larvae.  These snakes are rarefly seen except under deeply rooted rocks, boards, or logs or during heavy rain when they are flooded out of their habitat.
