Recently a small group of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Amphibian and Reptile Group (CPARG) members (including myself) were given the chance to visit the RSPB’s Lodge Nature Reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. We were there to find out about the population of natterjack toads (Epidalea calamita) present at the site, find out what’s being done to conserve them and to hopefully catch a glimpse of one.
