Leaping Frogs, Springy Tendons

Researchers Henry Astley and Thomas Roberts from Brown University have discovered that springy tendons are the secret to frogs’ leaps.   Using the northern leopard frog (Rana pipiens), the researchers were able to determine with 3-D X-ray video that before leaping the frogs load energy into their tendons. leer más.
