Un magnífico elenco de autores, expertos herpetólogos de diversas nacionalidades (Gabriel Martínez del Mármol, D. James Harris, Philippe Geniez, Philip de Pous y Daniele Salvi), han publicado en 2019 el libro Amphibians and Reptiles of Morocco. Esta obra, una más, pero no cualquiera, de la editorial alemana Chimaira, cubre tanto Marruecos como el Sáhara Occidental y viene a ser una actualización y puesta al día de otros libros previos, en particular de Amphibiens et Reptiles du Maroc (Sahara Occidental conpris). Atlas biogéographique, editado en 1996 en tres idiomas (francés, español e inglés) por la Asociación Herpetológica Española y cuyos autores son Jacques Bons y Philippe Geniez, y The Amphibians and Reptiles of the Western Sahara, publicado en 2004 por la ya mentada editorial Chimaira y firmado por P. Geniez, José Antonio Mateo, Michel Geniez y Jim Pether. Leer más.

The results showed that the type of observation error assumed did not affect the biological parameters. We found evidence for density dependence in both populations. The effect of the change in fish predation on population growth rate and the return point was strong in the population where fish invaded a previously fish-free pond. The effect was weaker in the population where the change was from cyprinid fish to pike. The results showed that fish predation can have strong effects on amphibian population dynamics. The observed population dynamical pattern is phenomenologically similar to alternative stable states. Leer más.
